Brando and I made a wee video on how to properly use your zoom lens to tell better stories in your photos. Are you using your zoom lens to its full potential?

I always enjoy the offerings from oopoomoo. This video is no exception and is a helpful reminder of the artistic power we have in our equipment when it is used thoughtfully. I bought my first book from Darwin many years ago, the one about Jasper, Banff etc. and it has been my bible on every annual trip to Alberta. One of these days I hope to be able to meet you in person.
In the meantime, keep the oopoomoo articles coming and again, many thanks,

I love this video. It’s the best explanation on perspective I have seen. And such a good dog! He deserved the treat for being so patient.

This is really excellent Darwin for two reasons. Great info that demonstrates the point very well, and of course Brando is the star again! Whaoo!

I was taught Zoom was not for changing area to cover in a frame. It is a good tool to control perspective, balancing sizes between foreground and background. In reality, 24-70mm I have bought lately makes lazy. Darwin, your video is good reminder. Thanks.
